In August, Stephanie organised a styled shoot for her wedding videography business – Balancia Films. My job was to take some pictures of the event as additional portfolio material for the website, instagram etc, while at the same time looking after and entertaining our daughter. The location was a beautiful mansion outside of Antwerp. I have worked with both models before: Viktoria and Arnaud are great fun and very professional to shoot with. Stephanie brought in a lot of people for the shoot, a wedding dress designer, a tailor, a hair and make-up artists, a wedding cake maker and many more. I will put a list below in case you are interested. Whenever I take staged wedding pictures I never manage to keep a light and pure touch to the images. Somehow always something troubled and twisted creeps into the photographs…. go figure.
I probably share too many images here, but I often could not decide, which ones to post. The whole shoot was taken with Pentax 645N with the 2.8/75mm lens, just a few images are with the Mamiya RZ 4/50mm wide angle lens. Film was a mix of Fuji 400H and Portra 400. Black and whites are with the Hexar AF and Tmax 400 film. Colour developed and scanned by Carmencita Film Lab.
