Our yearly “film and friends” workshop is just an excuse to fly Ryan to Europe and hang out together 🙂 After Brussels and Ibiza, this year we met at Comporta in Portugal. We booked a beautiful AirBnb, invited Linda and Manon for the modelling part and were again very lucky with a group of wonderful people joining us. When doing a workshop, my own shooting is more or less limited to “demonstrating” this or that. The below images were taken when talking about metering, different types of light or directing – except the pictures of our daughter and the ones at the beach. When she is around I hardly want to take pictures of anything else. The pictures at the beach were taken after the workshop – on our last evening in Portugal.
35mm images are shot with Hexar AF and TMAX100 or 400
Rectangle 6×7 images are all shot on Plaubel Makina 67 and Fuji 400H or Portra 400
All square images are Mamiya 6 with 3.5/75 or 4/50 loaded with either TMAX 400 and Portra 400 or 400H.
Black and white developed by myself in Kodak HC110 for 6 minutes, scanned with Nikon Coolscan 9000
Colour processed and scanned by Carmencita Film Lab
Two more blog posts are in draft status – the vacation in Crete and the shoot with Daria – both coming soon!
